The Ultimate Book of Sharks -- Perfect Shark Week Resource + Shark Craft Round-up

Disclosure: I was sent this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

It is summer time and I always find summer to bring on sharks. Between the shark sightings in the news and the internet going crazy for Shark Week as well as television. Well Shark Week starts on Sunday. Today I am going to share an amazing resource to learn all about sharks. It written for kids ages 9-12 years old. It is a book from National Geographic Kids. It is The Ultimate Book of Sharks by Brian Skerry with Elizabeth Carney and Sarah Wassner Flynn.

Are you ready to look in the eye of a great white or maybe his mouth. Or maybe you want to learn more about angel sharks or cow sharks. Have you ever heard of them? I hadn't. This book has all different types of sharks with photographs of them up close and personal. Skerry even shares some of his personal experiences. This book shares the shark's atanomy as well what needs to be done for their conservation and how you can help. It covers everything you want to know or need to know about sharks and how to help them and how to stay safe around them.

Besides being full of great information the book has amazing photographs.

Whether you are just interested in learning something about these super creatures or are a shark expert, you will find something in this book that will amaze you.

They even go into information that scares people the most about sharks--their bites. They have everything from how they can sniff out blood to what they eat and how different species can find their prey.

So dive into the world of sharks and check out this book as well as watching Shark Week. You will not be disappointed and will be sure to learn something new. Oh, and for younger kids be sure to check out our review of The Octonauts: Calling All Sharks!.
