Multicultural Children's Book Day -- Book Review Link Party

It is hard to believe that Multicultural Children's Book Day (MCCBD) is tomorrow for 2016!! This is the third one!! I am proud to say that I have been a book reviewer for all three years and this year I have the honor of being a co-host. (In the three years I have reviewed:  Rainbow Stew, The Dragon New Year, Endeavour's Long Journey, The Mystic Princesses and the Whirlpool (which has a sale on the ebook through 1/27), Hathshepsut of Egypt, Doyli to the Rescue, and will be reviewing The King Baby Cake on 1/27.)

The MCCBD team’s mission to spread the word and raise awareness about the importance of diversity in children’s literature. Our young readers need to see themselves within the pages of a book and experience other cultures, languages, traditions and religions within the pages of a book. We encourage readers, parents, teachers, caregivers and librarians to follow along the fun book reviews, author visits, event details, a multicultural children’s book linky and via our hashtag (#ReadYourWorld) on Twitter and other social media.

The MCCBD team is also offering a great chance for teachers to get a free diversity book for the classroom!! Be sure to check out the MCCBD 2016 Classroom Reading Challenge for more information.

Please join us on January 27th as we celebrate multicultural, diverse and inclusive books for kids for Multicultural Children’s Book Day. To help us with our mission to get diversity books into the hands of children, we are giving away a TON of books. Get more information about the MCCBD Twitter Party here
