Today Hazel is sharing a novel that she really enjoyed with you. It is recommended for ages 10 to 14.

Where the Heart Is by Jo Knowles is an amazing novel about a teenager, Rachel, who is going through the struggle of boyfriends. Rachel and Micah have been friends forever. But eventually, Micah wants more. But Rachel does not feel this way. And to make matters worse, all her parents talk about is money. They always seem worried. They always tell Rachel and her little sister, Ivy, that nothing is wrong. But Rachel knows it's not true, and she doesn't know what to do.She tries to distract herself with her summer job of taking care of animals, and long trips to the beach.

This novel an emotional, bittersweet book. It shows the power of friendship. I enjoyed this book very much. From the animals, to the beach trips, this is an awesome book. Rachel's problems and struggles are intriguing and fascinating. This is a five star book.
