Joyful Stitching - a Crafty Weekends Review & Link Party

Disclosure: C&T Publishing gave me this ebook in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. I will receive a small stipend for purchases made through the links in this post. Thank you for supporting Crafty Moms Share!

Did you know that September is National Sewing Month? Last week we shared a wonderful resource for any sewer. Today we are looking at a different type of stitching--embroidery. The book today is Joyful Stitching by Laura Wasilowski.

This book presents free-form embroidery. Free-form embroidery is not precise. This book has six projects that start with simple shapes and give guidelines for the stitches. The fabrics suggested are not your typical embroidery fabrics. It is meant to be a fun and stress-free activity and artform.
A Tasty Bite of Apple Project
The stitch design is a bit of decorative and not necessarily a pattern. There is no right or wrong. The insturtions are easy to ready and follow.
Hand of Fortune Project
The projects are colorful and fun. They have a bit of folkart feeling to them. Are you ready for some fun creating? This book is for you. I hope you will check it out! Here is the one I am going to begin with--Love at First Sight.
