Books for Harry Potter Lovers!

Disclosure: Candlewick Press sent me these books in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Recently Hazel and I began reading Harry Potter. We are about three quarters of the way through the second book and Hazel loves them!! We have not watched the movies yet and I will not let her read the entire series yet. I actually have insisted on reading them with her to be sure she doesn't get too frightened by them since she is so sensitive and easily scared. But for now they are her new love. She was very excited when I pulled out these two books from Candlewick. Their Harry Potter books seem to be in two collections. The Harry Potter collection includes our first book, Harry Potter: Magical Film Projections: Patronus Charm by Insight Editions.

This book is full of pages of clear pictures that can be projected on walls or ceilings with a flashlight. We used the one on my cell phone.

The projection photos are a bit blurry. Hazel held the book and I tried to take a picture while holding the cell phone as well. As you can see they are pictures from the Harry Potter movies that involved the patronus charms: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Hazel enjoyed seeing the projections, but did not understand them yet since they come in later books. I think it is such a fun way to relive the stories though. I love rereading the books with Hazel. It has been quite awhile since I read the books.

Our second book is from the J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World collection. It is The Dark Arts: A Movie Scrapbook. This book is a gathering of all the Dark Arts from all the Harry Potter movies. It features photographs from the movies and information about the various people and things in the pictures.
It covers the dark arts wizards as well as the professors of the Defense of the Dark Arts professors and the dark spells. There is so much in this book that shares the bits from each of the books. It even has different pull-outs and things like these wizard cards.

It is the perfect book to put together all the various dark arts from the movies and books. It combines the various books to give the full story of each character. This book is perfect for the Harry Potter fans who cannot get enough Harry Potter!!

I hope you will check out these books and the others in both collections and get them for your Harry Potter fans!!
