You can also find their DVDs at local retailers!

To help get us in the Christmas spirit, NCircle Entertainment sent us four Christmas DVDs to review and are supplying another set of four to one of my wonderful readers!! Hazel was really excited to see a few of her favorite shows represented. She insisted we start with the newly released Octonauts: The Very Vegimal Christmas.

This wonderful DVD has four episodes of The Octonauts on it. The first two are Christmas ones and the last two feature orca whales in the Arctic Ocean. It is truly a winter set of episodes. One thing I really enjoyed was learning more about the vegimals. I had not been able to really figure them out and in the first episode they play an important role and the viewer learns about their past. As always, there is something to learn in each episode and the stories are fun to watch. We love this one!

The next DVD is The Snowman which is based on Raymond Briggs's wordless book by the same title. Since the book is wordless so is the movie. The story is a wonderful magical tale of a snowman coming to life one night and after exploring the boy's house they go on a magical journey that includes more snowpeople and Santa Claus. It is a wonderful story and seeing it animated is great! Last November we reviewed and held a giveaway of its sequel, The Snowman and the Snowdog which is still available.

A craft of ours from last year that we found at The Snowman website.
We love both of these movies and highly recommend them to everyone. It is interesting to watch a silent movie since the child has to really focus on it. Hazel tends to play and do other things while in front of the television, but with this movie she stopped and watched.

Our third movie is Caillou's Holiday Movie which was recently released. Now Hazel has really outgrown Caillou, but she really enjoyed watching this movie. After watching it she told me she really liked it and wants to make sure we keep it so she can watch it again. Instead of being a bunch of holiday episodes this movie seems to take parts  of several episodes and weave them all together to be a holiday season in Caillou's life. Now I know some adults find Caillou to be whiny. I do not and have always enjoyed Hazel watching him. She was very into Caillou when she was younger. It was one of the first shows we really let her watch.

The final DVD is A Very Awesome Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! Holiday Show. Now Hazel and I have both heard of Yo Gabba Gabba!, but had never seen it before. The only way I can think of describing it is a hip hop version of The Wiggles. It is much more flashy than the Wiggles though. I think this show is aimed for slightly younger children than Hazel. She enjoyed it but did not love it like the others. It also involved many Christmas themes like a Christmas tree and Santa Claus. Many of the characters are people in costumes that look like very friendly monsters.

So those are the four Christmas dvds we received and are now giving away to a lucky viewer. (Remember if you do not want to wait they are available at local retailers and at NCircle's website!) The winner must have a United States or Canada address and be 18 or over! Please follow my Giveaway Rules and to enter follow the instructions on the Rafflecopter. Good luck!!
