I had two weeks of spring break a couple weeks ago and one thing I discovered is I really want a craft to do when I'm on vacation. My first week of vacation I went to the Cape Cod house alone and knew I would want a project to work on while I watched television. The second week Steve and I went to Florida. I wanted to have something to work on at night and perhaps on the airplane. During a trip to the Cape house in December, I brought a small diamond painting project. While we watched television at night or when I had a break in the day, worked on my project. It was this small project with cute polar bears.
It is a 20cm by 30 cm project. It was the perfect size to travel with as it and all of its tools fit in a pouch that was easy to pack and bring anywhere. It fit in the pouch without needing to be folded so there was no damage. I was able to finish it while Hazel and I visited with my sister at the Cape and celebrated both of their birthdays. The frame I have around it is one I bought cheaply that claimed it was adjustable. I bought three of them and the other two I switched the sides around to form squares. So, for my spring break I brought a 20 cm by 20 cm kit to the Cape house and Florida. I did not try to work on it while I was on the plane but did work on it almost every night in Florida and was able to finish it this weekend at home. The smaller square frame is perfect for it! I just need to paint the frames to show of the work even better!
This size again fit in a pouch with the diamonds and tools. It worked so well. I honestly just went on an ordering craze to have more small projects for all my trips. It is the perfect thing to bring to travel. I know I need to create something to stay calm and lower my stress as well as my snacking and these are perfect whether I'm traveling by car or plane. When I'm at home I can work on bigger ones. Currently I'm working on this fun giraffe one. The bigger square frame will be perfect for it when I finish it!
