It is Friday again!! Time for a relaxing Friday review. Today's is a new coloring book released this week and it is based on a classic novel and play. Do you like Pride and Prejudice? Now I am going to admit I have not read Pride and Prejudice but have seen the play performed. However, I know it is a classic and well loved. I was excited to see what the book offers. Throughout the book are pictures to color with quotes from the movie as well as characters and scenes. There are 96 pages and most have something to color!
I have a student who loves to color in the coloring books I have in my classroom. She recently had her birthday and got a new set of alcohol markers. I asked her to color a few pages to see how the book is. All the pages that are colored are done by her. This book has double-sided pages. Unfortunately, her markers bled through a bit.
So, I would not recommend markers for this book. It is perfect for colored pencils or gel pens. This book is perfect for Jane Austen fans and literary fans! It is perfect for a literature classroom or to gift a lit teacher. It is also perfect for fans of the BBC adaptation and the actors in it. I hope you will check it out!
