Go Bananas! -- Silly Picture Book to Cheer Up the Reader

Disclosure: I was sent a copy of this book in order to provide an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Ever have one of those days where nothing seems to go right or perhaps a day where your young one cannot find anything to be happy about? Today we are sharing a fun and silly new picture book that will have even the grumpiest child giggling and smiling. The book is Go Bananas! by A.B. Peele and illustrated by Lala Watkins. It is recommended for ages 4 to 8.

About the Book:

This infectiously silly read-aloud picture book brings a classic chant to bouncy, rhythmic life with a cast of very a-peeling yellow fruit friends!

When you’re feeling down, what’s a banana to do? You call out to your friends, of course:
Bananas of the world unite!
Bananas of the world unite!

Come join this quirky crew of silly bananas as they toss aside their frowns and turn our world upside down! Go bananas, go go bananas!

From Me:

This book is so fun!! It is silly. It is full of rhymes and actions. The words talk about being down and having issues, but then they suggest some fun actions and going bananas. I love how the various characters are bananas or dressed like bananas. The rhyme and rhythm make the book fun and you may start singing to it.

The book even suggests gathering with friends to shake, shake, shake and go bananas, go go bananas! It is so fun. It will have kids giggling and perhaps dancing around.

I can see this book for banana lovers!! But also, for when the kids need cheering up or perhaps starting a silly activity or to get the moving. I can see it being read aloud at home and in class with kids needing to get their fidgets out. It will have them moving, giggling and just going bananas. What a happy book!
