Cattitude -- Book Review & Giveaway with Cat Craft Round-Up

Disclosure: I was sent a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I am working with The Children's Book Review to bring you this post and giveaway. All opinions are my own.

Just like people animals have their own personalities. People often say cats are aloof and want to be the boss of the house. As the owner of three cats currently, I can honestly say every cat has a different personality. I have and have had cats that love to be with people and others that are shy when we have "strangers" in the house. Today we are sharing a book about a cat and her attitude. The book is Cattitude written by Bianca Schulze and illustrated by Samara Hard. Besides my review I am sharing a round-up of cat crafts and there is a giveaway as well!

From Me:

This book is just so fun! As a cat lover and owner, I see the Cleo's attitude as endearing and often very true. Cleo is the type of cat that finds a quiet spot away from people with there are guests in the house. Cleo loves to bask in the sun by the window. The narrator tells us how he loves Cleo and her behavior, but his mom is not loving the damage to the curtains when Cleo's claws get stuck in them. His father is not loving Cleo taking over his favorite chair every night as the family gathers to watch television. Just as many pet owners have parts of their pet's behavior they love and other parts they could do without, this book perfectly describes the behavior of cats. It also does so in such a loving and happy way. From the behaviors that drive the people crazy to the way Addie, the narrator's younger sister, says Cleo's name, the book is fun and entertaining. It is endearing to all animal lovers and will have everyone laughing and smiling.

I also love that the family has darker skin thus making it a multicultural book.  The words in the book are wonderful and the illustrations are adorable. It is the perfect book for animal lovers, cat lovers and cat owners. Kids will get such a great kick out of this book and so will the adults reading it to them. It is a fun book about the zaniness of cats and let's face it every cat has its own unique zaniness! I can imagine reading it aloud to a group of kids and laughing with them over some of the crazy things Cleo does and how the family reacts to her. It is a book adults will not mind reading over and over.  I hope you will check out this book and give yourself a laugh for the day!
