No Is All I Know! -- Learn the Power of Yes!

Disclosure: I was sent a review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Is your child in the no stage? It is a normal stage for toddlers who are exploring their boundaries and discovering their own voices and world. To learn more about this stage and some coping strategies check out this article. If you want to show them the power of yes, read on. Today I get to share with you a new picture book from Chris Grabenstein called No Is All I Know! and illustrated by Leo Espinosa. It is recommended for ages 3 to 7, but it certainly could be read to a two-year-old.

About the Book:

Do you know anyone like Oliver McSnow...who only knows the word NO?!

Introducing a story about the AMAZING power of YES! This universally relatable picture book about toddlerhood from the New York Times bestselling team behind No More Naps! will elicit laughs from kids and their grown-ups everywhere!

Oliver McSnow ONLY says NO. He says NO so much that his NO starts to grow. And grow and GROW...until that NO is out of control! No baths. No brushing teeth. No cleaning up. No bedtime! Morning, noon, and night—it’s just NO, NO, NOOOOOOOOOO!

But then Oliver's cousin visits. Jess loves the word YES. YES to friends! YES to food. YES to fun! YES, YES, YES, YES, YESSSSS! And suddenly, Oliver's world gets opened up in a most wonderful way!

From Me:

Hearing no can frustrate any parent, but the no stage can be horrific to get through. This book will help the parent and child laugh through the stage as the child slowly discovers the power of yes. Oliver says no to everything and soon realizes life is not very fun in the world of no. Then he has a playdate with his cousin Jess who only says yes. Spending the day with Jess and learning to say yes is so much fun! It actually changes Oliver to a yes man!

I love how this story shows the comical side of the toddler no stage and the how learning the power of yes can help brighten their days. It will give the tired and worn out parents something to laugh at and perhaps a look at hope for the future and the end of the nos. Kids will love the story and the pictures are fun. I hope you will check it out!
