The Ghost King -- Mommy Time Review

Disclosure: Jeff Altabef sent me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Tonight I get to share with you the second book in the Red Death Series by Jeff Altabef. Now I loved the first book: Red Death. The second book is The Ghost King. This book did not disappoint!! It is another page turner.

The Ghost King begins where Red Death left off. Aaliss and Wilky are still unable to return home to Eden. Aaliss is realizing the lies that she was taught in Eden and discovering the world outside the protective walls of Eden and a bit about herself and her brother. She is also experiencing first love with Prince Eamon. Wilky just knows he has to unite the three tribes in order for them to have a chance in the upcoming war that has more consequences than they truly realize. Wilky keeps telling them they have to get rid of the darkness, but he is afraid to know how the war will end with his visions.

Like all of Jeff's books this book engrosses the reader. You do not want to put the book down. The truth is I cannot wait for the third book to come out. I want to know what happens. My only complaint is that it is hard to keep track of the various characters at first. Jeff thought of this though and put in a Cast of Characters at the end of the book. Once you are into the story it is easy but remembering them all from the first book makes it a bit difficult (with the time that has passed since I read Red Death). The Cast of Characters definitely helped me get back into the book and remember which character was which.

I have to say that I love this book and series and would highly recommend it to anyone. I hope you will check it out.
