We all have those days where we feel alone and scared. There are even more of those days when we are young. It is important to find our strengths and self-love. This book is full of sweet and colorful illustrations as well as words. The story begins with a spark--a Catch-M that feels alone and scared in the dark. However, Catch-M listens to his heart as it whispers "believe" and "you are extraordinary." Catch-M imagines a wonderful world and believes he is extraordinary. He discovers self-love. He joins the other Catch-M's in spreading their sparks of love and encouragement to all the beings around the world and universe. Catch-M's are miraculous, marvelous, and magical. They are sparks that encourage our imaginations to think positively. They encourage us to love ourselves, love others, find our own extraordinary. After Catch-M shares his creation from love and miracles, he explains that storms will still come. We will still experience the low times but Catch-M's are around us to help us through them. We then meet Baby Cheetah who gets separated from his family. He gets scared but the Catch-M's around him encourage him to remember he is extraordinary. Then comes Zebra who wants to race Baby Cheetah. Zebra is encouraged to believe in his dazzle. Together these young animals realize their own strengths and find love from the universe full of Catch-M's.
The book also shares wonderful little science facts about Earth, cheetahs and zebras in the little notes at the bottom of some of the pages. These notes also share more about Catch-M's. So, the book has more than just the wonderful encouragement of our big imaginations and self-love but also has interesting STEM facts and more in it. It gives the picture of how the universe all works together and how everything depends on everything else. It is a wonderful book to read to children everywhere. It is a book that makes a great gift for those important events in a child's life or perhaps a tough moment in the child's life when they need the encouragement of the Catch-M's the most. It is a book that will encourage imaginations, love and courage. It also helps teach kids to encourage others around them and to care for others. It is truly a feel-good book that I think kids will love! I hope you will feel the sparks in your own heart and help your kids to feel theirs.
