They Call Me Mom: 52 Encouraging Devotions for every MOMent -- a Mommy Time Review

Disclosure: I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Being a mom is a tough job. It is also the most rewarding job. But let there be no doubt, it is a job. I love being a mom but I know we all have had those moments where you wonder if you are doing a good job and question your decisions. Today's book is for every mom and dealing with those moments as well as the wonderful ones. It is They Call Me Mom:52 Encouraging Devotions for Every MOMent by Michelle Medlock Adams and Bethany Jett.

This book has changed a bit of my life. Yup, I said it. It is life changing. I noticed since I started reading it that my outlook on life was more at peace. This book helped me push my faith journey to the next level. How awesome is that? The encouraging devotions are just that--encouraging. They hope to reach every mom and lift her up in her own faith. Michelle is the mother of grown girls and Bethany is the mother of young boys. Each share their own story and thoughts on the different topics of the devotion and each shares how her faith comes to play as a parent. There are topics like feeling like a chauffer and not being the fun parent. The devotions are sure to hit your life right where you are.

I love that this book helps build moms up instead of judge and putting each other down like so much of our society does. I also love how it encourages us to look to Jesus and the Bible in our times of need.  Aren't we all trying to bring our kids up to love God and Jesus. This book is encouraging that and giving tips and advice in different situations.

Have you been in the situation where others think you are doing it all wrong? They can't understand why you are doing something but you know you are doing what is right for your family and truly believe you are doing what God wants you to. Yes this is discussed and it is a story told from the past so there is 20-20 vision to see the correct choice was made. It is worth fighting and/or ignoring those that want to judge you and your parenting ways when you are focused on Jesus.

As I mentioned I noticed a new feeling of peace in my life from reading this book and truly focusing on Jesus in life and my parenting. Needless to say I highly recommend this book to you. I hope you will read it and pass it on to all of your mom friends!
