Davincified Paint-By-Number Kits -- A Relaxing Friday Review

Disclosure: I was sent this kit in order to provide an honest review. All opinions are my own.

During 2020 I rediscovered my love of paint-by-number. I hadn't done them since I was a child. I reviewed another in 2021 and started more on my own. I stopped on one that wanted me to mix colors on my own and haven't started it again. On Fridays I like to share a relaxing activity to help everyone find creativity, screen-free time and a bit of themselves. Recently I was contacted by Davincified to see if I would consider doing a paint-by-number Relaxing Friday. I was excited to try it again and had a hard time choosing from the many options they offer. I finally decided on Sunset Serenity Pink Waves. I received the standard sized rolled canvas with 24 colors. They have options for a standard size and large size. Each painting can come as rolled or stretched canvas. Plus, the artist can choose how many paint colors there will be: 24, 36, and 48. There is even an option to get a hand-painted 24 colored painting.

Now I was excited to get my kit in the mail. You may have seen my Instagram post about it. Inside was the rolled canvas with a numbered black and white picture guide, 24 paints, stickers to label the paints, three brushes, and a small card with the guide to the paints and a finished picture.

One of the most unique things about this kit is the canvas has light shades of colors on it which make the spotting of some of the numbers easier. Plus, you can see the idea of the painting with the shades. I also loved that there are numbers to put on the paint containers even though they are labeled on the holder. The paints seem small and at times feel like there may not be enough but there is. You can order extra paint, but I tend to paint heavy and did not have a problem.

I started with number 1 and worked my way up but started skipping around about halfway through just so I could do multiple colors in a sitting. I tried to do numbers that didn't touch.

For the most part the painting is easy and fun to do. I found it so relaxing. It is a 16-inch by 20-inch painting. I finished all the colors and may go back and touch up a few spots where the paint was thin, but I love how it came out!! Now I need to have it framed!

I did play around with a frame I have but since I wasn't stretching it the edges show.

Now these paint-by-number projects are perfect for families, adults and older kids. They are perfect for people who want to start doing something creative but are not sure where to begin. They make amazing gifts and you can do a custom picture! You can even see your picture and how it will look with the different number of paints so you can make a knowledgeable decision. The kits themselves are perfect for gifting but also a painting you have finished makes a great gift!! Oh, and I noticed there is a sale going on for Halloween!! There are so many different ones to pick from and definitely there is something for everyone. Happy painting!
