Amazing Places -- Travel from Home with this Multicultural Children's Book

Disclosure: I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

One thing I love about books is how you can travel the world with them. Today's book is one that will take the reader around the world and let them learn about amazing places everywhere. The book is Barefoot Books Amazing Places by Miralda Colombo and illustrated by Beatrice Cerochhi.

This book takes you to fifteen of the world's most remarkable monuments including the Taj Mahal, Machu Picchu, Petra, Stonehenge, and Sydney Opera House. First there is a double page spread of the monument with information about it.

Then there are two pages of more details. It has sections called "Enter and Be Amazed," "The Word to Know," "Pack Your Bag," "Tell Me a Story," "Meet ...," "Look Up Close," and "Wow!" Each gives more details about the monument and the people who built it as well as the culture and environment it is in.

This book is recommended for ages 8 to 12 and will be the perfect addition to teach kids about the world, different cultures as well as additions to culture and world study units. I know many teachers would love to have this book in their classroom when doing units on world cultures.

I hope you will check it out!! You will not be disappointed.
