Last week I had the pleasure of sharing Sew Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and this week we are looking at another sewing and quilting Christmas book. This week it is A Merry Christmas with Kim Schaefer. I had big plans this week to make one or two of the projects in it, but Hazel's cold got passed to me, so I struggled to stay awake and do anything extra than what was needed. Sorry!! However I will be able to share some of the amazing projects and give you my planning of projects and reading instructions review.

What I love about this book is the projects vary in size and difficulty. There are smaller projects like coasters and big projects like a throw quilt (pictured on cover). There are even fabric gift tags in this book.

Many of the projects in this book use Fast2Fuse. It is a double-sided fusible interfacing that helps stiffen fabric (or paper) projects. Many of the projects are applique. In the beginning of the book there are general instructions for applique that are very detailed and easy to follow.

The projects include things to decorate your table like the placemat above, as well as table toppers and runners. There are also tree skirts, pillows, quilts, coasters and banners like this garland.

There are also two wreath projects and a decorative three-dimensional tree decoration. One of the wreaths can be seen on the front cover or at least a piece of it can. The other one is below. The tree decoration uses fabric colored balls like this wreath.
So if you are looking for some projects to brighten your house or for Christmas gifts be sure to check out this fun book. I found the patterns easy to print and the instructions are clear and seem well written. For more Christmas sewing and quilting (and crafting) be sure to check out these reviews: Half Yard Christmas, Handmade Christmas, and Mini Knitted Christmas.
