Crafty Weekends Link Party & Christmas Crafts

This week has been busy with various things, but I am not ready to write a craft review for you. I will share a couple of crafts we have been working on though. Every Christmas Hazel's school has each class adopt a child in a battered women's shelter. The list for the four-year-old boy her class has this year included wanting a quilt, so I decided to make a quick one. I bought a set of flannel squares at Joann's and cut some more from other flannel I bought and had. I quickly stitched them together using my serger.

I still have to layer it and quilt it. I bought premade binding as well, but I think it is cute and will be good for a four-year-old.

Since Steve doesn't allow us to put Christmas lights outside Hazel and I started stringing popcorn and cranberries and putting them on our bushes for the animals. We did it two years ago for the first time when we looked at traditional Christmas in New England. Hazel asked to do it again this year. After we had a few strings of them we hung them in our bushes in our front yard.

So that is a few of the crafts I have been working on this week. Now let's get into our party for the week!!
